Industrial rock music has nearly always been darker, more negative, yet this is evolving. There is this sick recovery rock I saw by Matt Soren recently that has a unique twist on electro-rock. His project is a mix of electro-rock and the concept of overcoming addiction.
There are some song previews on his site at www.returnfrombroken.com. It appears like the songs are provisional while wrapping up mastered mixes. They sound clean to me but that’s just me. It is cool to see more industrial rock like this written particularly for addiction recovery in a more enjoyable way from a person that has had the experience and is making a difference for others. It’s nice to have this type of music arising from the industrial genre which is usually more rebellious in nature. Very cool.
In addition, he has free tracks you can get from his music page and more in his back extras page which is all free. I also saw discounts, album art, and other downloads. It will be exciting to see the album once it is released.
